Need help? I highly recommend you work hard in class and ask me and your classmates questions during class. You may also find it useful to have a study partner or group within the class to enhance your studying. I am available for help outside of regular class if needed. I will be available at lunch on Mondays and Tuesdays or at flex if you need any help or have questions. Consider getting any extra help you may need from peers or tutors or during tutorial times. There are also many websites now available to help students with math, such as the Khan Academy or purplemath.com. There are also online sites which may allow you to use a graphing calculator if you do not have your own. such as.. http://www.meta-calculator.com/online/ and ... https://www.desmos.com/calculator There is also help for Algebra 3-4 honors.. specifically with some of the homework problems.. at http://cpm.org/a2c If you are not doing well in math, please read and use the Self Reflection piece on the right of this page. You may also consider researching online how to prepare and study for a math class. There are thousands of ideas out there, so find what works for you. I have just suggested some things I consider necessary in the SR piece. ACADEMIC HONESTY: Please be familiar with the school's Academic Honesty Policy and adhere to it at all times. If you have any questions, please talk to me. Thank you. Cell phones: To all parents/guardians and students: A reminder from the syllabus that cell phones are not allowed to be on or out or seen during class. The distraction they pose outweighs the benefits. Please remember and respect this rule as your learning will be enhanced without your phone. :) Also, ipods, etc., are not to be used in the classroom at any time. THANK YOU. |
